Getting a deductible for your policy is a very easy way to reduce your premiums and make your policy premium more affordable. If you are still confused, we will make it easier for you to understand.
A deductible on your policy means that you agree to share some of the cost of a claim with the underlying insurance company. The amount of your deductible means that you will pay out of pocket for that set amount, any amount above that dedudtible will be covered by your insurance provider.
If you have a claim that you will submit for eligible medical expenses that arise for $10,000. If your deductible is $1,000 then insurance company will cover $9,000 and you will pay $1,000. Total combined to reflect your medical claim of $10,000.
